As a fan of The Last Of The Summer  wine, The longest running sitcom in the history of television.  The biggest frustration as a fan is where to get copies of this Shows.  American PBS doesn't show anything under series 10.  There's only one commerically available DVD's set in the US (series 17)  and only 1-4 in the UK.

On this site we will help you get copies of this wonderful show.   The programs are on NTSC region 1 DVD+R's.   We have had the most success with this format.
These programs have been recorded  by several different fans with varying degrees of quality, but they are all a joy to watch.   All shows  listed below are not available in the US commerically.

These programs are simply from one collector to another, and no rights of any kind are stated or implied.

Each series  includes shipping.  EXCEPTION: Orders from outside the U.S. please add $3.oo

We have been asked several times if there are discounts available for multiple series buys.  If you order from the website and buy 5 series you can recieve an extra series of your choice for free.  That would be up to a 20% discount.

The 5 series must be ordered at one time and not a cumulative 5 over several orders,

We have also added several series on the MORE BRITISH PROGRAMS page with a complete series discount, Check them out!

Mailing is still free with the exception of orders outside the U.S, which require an aditional $3.oo.

Good News & Bad News!

Bad News

Kathy Staff (Nora Batty) passed away December 13th, 2008 and appearantly is not in any of the episodes of series 30.  Nora was such a part of the program and was in from the pilot.  That only leaves Cleggy and Ivy as originals left in the series.  Our loss was Compo's gain.  Look out Nora.

More Bad News

It does appear that series 30 will probably be the last series for "Last of the Summerwine" unless the BBC changes it's mind.  They have not officially cancelled the program - nor have they renewed it.  This great show has been at the cross roads in the past and has weathered the storm.  We shall see this time.

Now For the Good News

The BBC has aired series 30.

We now have all episodes ready and available.

I think you will enjoy the new characters of Nora's sister and Hobbo.

Oh, Dr Beeching!

David Croft is famous for his writing on British sitcoms such as Dad's Army, Are You Being Served?, It Ain't Half Hot Mum, Hi-de-Hi!, 'Allo 'Allo!, You Rang, M'Lord?, and the Are You Being Served? spin-off, Grace & Favour.

This show tells the story about a group of people working at the Hatley Station. The staff includes a not-too-bright Jack Skinner, the boss; his wife May; their daughter Gloria; Ethel; Vera Plumtree; Harry lambert (Last Of The Summer Wine's Smiler) and many other people. The stories revolve around the staff and their personal love lifes. The show also reunites Jeffrey Holland, Paul Shane and Su Pollard, who worked together on other BBC comedies, "Hi-De-Hi!" and "You Rang, M'Lord?"

So Haunt Me

This is a story of Yetta Feldman, a ghost no less. who haunts a detached house in Meadow Road, scaring off anyone who tries to move in. That is until she meets the Rokeby's, a typical family who decide to help Yetta out.

This is one of Britain's long forgotten, but popular at the time, sitcoms. Like Yetta herself it seems to rest in peace, but maybe, in this day of popular ghost related programmes like Most Haunted and movies like White Noise, So Haunt Me is long overdue for a revival!

First Of The Summer Wine

3 Disks  -  $20.oo

This is an improved set

At first we were reluctant to release these except that they are difficult to find anywhere and we have had many requests for them.  This 1988 - 89  prequel to Last Of The Summer Wine featured many familiar characters (Foggy, Clegg, Compo, Wally, Seymour, Nora, Ivy) and takes place just before the outbreak of WWII in Europe.  All in all 12 episodes and a pilot were made and aired on BBC 1.  These appear to be from an original LP VHS recording, probably from the original airing - so keep that in mind while ordering.  They are still very watchable.

"Pilot episode" "Taller Exercises" "The Just Doesn't Suit" "Way Of The Warrior" "Snuff and Stuff" "The Great Indoors" "Youth Wanted" "Not Thee Missus" "Compo Drops In" "The Gypsy fidler" "Ain't Love Dangerous" "The Body Snatchers" "Quiet Wedding"

If you have previously ordered First of the Summer Wine and wish to complete your set, the cost is $6.oo if you just order the set,  $5.oo if you order it along with anything else.
